Election Day

As I sit here thinking of the significance of today, I have to say I love my Country. I have served, and protected the rights and freedoms of everyone. And I am happy that everyone has the duty, honor, and right to cast a vote for their beliefs.
I have sat back and watched the total vehemence of both sides in this election. I don’t understand why each side vilifies the other? They should all want what is best for the United States, but it appears that they are very much concerned on what will get them elected. I realize that these men are humans, and self-interest is a strong motivator for a lot of folks. Why else would they spend hundreds of millions for a job that pays $400,000 a year? They are trying to what is best for themselves and their friends at the detriment of everyone else.
So good luck Mitt and Obama! Hopefully whoever is elected will actually do the best for the majority of people. But I think that they are both afraid of making hard decisions, that Congress is afraid of making hard decisions, and that the grenade of fiscal deficits and public entitlement will be once again kicked down the road. To be solved or ignored by another generation of politicians.
So please go vote and use your “GOD” given right!
