Changing the Pan & Gasket on my 1973 Torino's C6 Automatic Transmission
Changing the Pan & Gasket on my 1973 Gran Torino's C6 Automatic Transmission I have issues with my c6 transmission leaking fluid. I am assuming that it is the pan gasket, so I decided to change the gasket and the put a new pan on it with studs. This is a video of how I did the filter and pan change. If you have any questions please put them in the comments. This is the link to the Pan I bought: https://amzn.to/2FhLa44 This is the Moroso Gasket: https://amzn.to/2Ff8Ru0 This is the relatively cheap Type F: https://amzn.to/2SFLbmh

2009 - 2014 F150 Transmission Filter & Fluid Change DIY
2009 - 2014 F150 Transmission Filter & Fluid Change DIY
Relatively quick video on how to change the fluid and filter in your 6r80 transmission in your 2009 - 2014 F150. This should be the same procedure for any other vehicle with this transmission.
The parts I used for this maintenance work are as follows:
Mercon LV Transmission Fluid - 7.5 quarts
Ford Motorcraft Filter a FT-188
Pan Gasket FelPro TOS 18753
The bolts holding the transmission pan on are 8mm.
This is a project that can be done easily in your driveway with hand tools and can save you a ton of money over the dealership doing the work.
It should be noted that I have installed a Performance Automotive PA68404 transmission dipstick. I use this to refill my transmission rather than the ford procedure which requires you to fill the transmission from below. Overall the dipstick worked wonderfully.
